New Eco-Friendly Packaging

Hey Recover Fam!

We have some really exciting news that our CEO will officially announce at a press conference this Thursday at Benedictine University in Lisle. Andrew Brown, founder and CEO of Recover, will talk more in-depth about our new eco-friendly packaging for 90% of our products!

The new material will be made of biodegradable cardboard like material, eliminating almost all of our plastic usage! By 2022 we aim to have 100% eco-friendly material in all our stores and in our online shop. This is something that a lot of you have asked for and here it is! Thank you to all that have given us encouragement to take this step forward despite the economic costs involved, some things are just a little more important than money!

Our Eco-friendly packaging will take affect at the end of this year since we have to first sell the current products of course. This is just the first of many steps! We aim to have our storefronts running on 100% renewable energy by 2025, using energy from wind farms and installing solar panels on all of our roofs.

We are also investigating the possibility of installing GeoThermal heating systems for our stores. This would be a device that is drilled hundreds of feet into the surface of the Earth to collect the natural warmth and bring it into our store. This is costly so we are looking at ways to make it feasible for both us and our customers.

Stay tuned and follow our Twitter account for up-to-date news!
